Student Life | Complections International Academy of Make-up Artistry Student Life An eclectic blend of art galleries, performance centres, sporting events, nightlife, gourmet restaurants and more, Toronto is a city in which you can never be bored. Opportunities to shop, dine, take in the great outdoors (and indoors) are all plentiful; Toronto is the fashion capital of the country, and called "Hollywood North" by film industry insiders. The city is rich with culture, and on any given day or night you can attend a production at one of our large-scale or independent theatres. The National Ballet of Canada, Canadian Opera Company and Toronto Symphony Orchestra (to name only a few of the 50-plus production companies that exist in the city) put on a variety of performances, and many are discounted in price for students. Complections encourages students to attend these events in order to immerse themselves in the industry and atmosphere they are studying to enter. During the day take pleasure in one of the many museums, beaches, parks, Toronto Zoo, Ontario Place, Science Centre or Hockey Hall of Fame. Toronto is the only Canadian city to have a team in the NBA (Toronto Raptors) and one of the six original hockey clubs (Toronto Maple Leafs). You can cheer them on at the Air Canada Centre (ACC).
